No packages in that category yet. Tell us where you want to go and we will build one.
Every package here is quoted on request. What a trip costs depends on your travel dates, the hotel category you want and the size of your group, so we price it for your own trip rather than advertise a rate that would have to change. Tell us the dates and the numbers and you get a figure before anything is confirmed.
Darjeeling is the most straightforward of the Eastern Himalayan hill towns to plan: about three hours up from Bagdogra, no protected-area permits, and short driving days once you are there.
Tea gardens, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, sunrise from Tiger Hill and a ridge town that has walked its Mall Road at five in the evening for a century.

Quieter and warmer than Darjeeling, with flower nurseries, an old trade-route history and the forest villages at Lava and Loleygaon above it.

Gangtok and the Tsomgo Lake road, the high valleys at Lachung and Lachen, and the monasteries of West Sikkim around Pelling.

Packages are a starting point. Dates, pace and stops are changed to suit the people travelling.
Hotels in the towns, homestays on the ridges, booked to the category and budget you tell us.
Vehicles and drivers who work these hill roads, arranged for transfers and sightseeing.
Someone to call while you are travelling, on +91 80162 57040.
Browse the destinations and tour packages above, or tell us the region you have in mind.
Share your travel dates and how many people are coming. It takes about thirty seconds.
Our team comes back with a plan and a price for your own trip, and adjusts it until it fits.
Tell us your destination and travel dates. We’ll help you find a suitable option, and there is nothing to pay at the enquiry stage.
Three details. We’ll ring you back.
We have your request and will call you back on the number you gave.
Yes. Every package listed here is a starting point rather than a fixed departure, so nights, stops and hotel category are all changed to suit the people travelling. Tell us what you want different and we will rework it.
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. They sit on opposite sides of the Teesta and the road between is short. Six to eight nights is the comfortable range for both; Kalimpong in the middle turns one long transfer day into two short ones.
Yes. We book hotels in the towns and homestays on the ridges to the category and budget you give us. Silk Route Tours also lists homestays across Sikkim on its main website.
Yes. Nothing on this page is a fixed departure, so the dates are yours to choose. Some things do depend on the calendar, such as the high North Sikkim passes and the Tiger Hill sunrise, and we will say so when they affect your plan.
Yes. Transfers from NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport and the sightseeing vehicle are part of the packages that list transfers. The vehicle runs to the itinerary on a point-to-point basis rather than staying at your disposal.
Parts of Sikkim are protected areas: North Sikkim beyond Chungthang, Tsomgo Lake and Nathu La all need permits issued against original photo ID and passport photographs, and some are open to Indian nationals only. We apply on your behalf and tell you what to carry. Darjeeling and Kalimpong need no permit.
Yes, and group size changes the price, so it is worth telling us the real number. Some packages on the main Silk Route Tours site carry published group discounts.
Use the form on this page. Destination, dates, how many of you and a mobile number is enough to start. You can also call or WhatsApp +91 80162 57040 directly.
It reaches the team at Silk Route Tours in Namchi, and someone contacts you on the number you gave to go through the detail. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged at the enquiry stage.
Two nights is the honest minimum: one full day covers Tiger Hill at sunrise, Batasia Loop and the town. A third night lets you add a tea estate morning or the toy train without a second pre-dawn start.
No. Darjeeling and Kalimpong are in West Bengal and need no permit for any nationality. Permits only come into it if you cross into Sikkim, and we handle those.
